3 Months

Blake turned 3 months old a few days ago. She is such a good baby and so much fun to have in our lives. She is such a little beauty, and I am a bit obsessed with taking pictures of her (as you can see from the overabundance in this post). She is constantly growing and changing and as always, it is fun to see her develop.

She really is such a good baby. She hardly ever just sits there and cries for no reason. If she is crying, then there is a problem. And once that problem is resolved, she is usually back to her happy self.

She has definitely been a champ when it comes to sleeping. I usually put her to bed sometime around 8:30p. She will sleep anywhere from 3a-6am, eat, then go back to sleep for a few hours. So on average she will sleep from 8pm-8am and wake up once during that time to eat. Occasionally she is up twice, but mostly she is only up once.

There are times when she has trouble going back to sleep during the middle of the night, especially if the first time she wakes up is closer to 5am or 6am. She is ready to be awake, though I am not. If I hold her long enough, eventually she will dose back off to sleep for a few more hours.

She has finally found her voice and uses it often.

She has also found her fingers/hands. Lately, she is constantly chewing on her hands. She tries so hard to shove the entire thing into her mouth.
She also likes to grab her clothes and try eating them.
She is extremely fascinated by my camera. She will be smiling and talking and happy, but the second I pull it out, she stares at it. Usually it's a pretty serious face and quite the stare. But it makes it hard to get pictures of her smiling.

The best way for me to capture a smile is to use my phone, since it's not as large and distracting.

Though sometimes that means I don't get as good as quality.

She has been eating a lot more this past month and I expect we'll see her growth start to accelerate a little more. She will eat between 4-5 oz every few hours.

She tends to spit up nearly every time I feed her. I have tried everything I can think of, yet she continues to spit up. It doesn't seem to bother her or be caused by stomach issues, so I'm not worried about it. Now that I am aware of this, I can usually catch most of it with a rag. Though often she'll randomly decide to spit up 20 minutes after she was fed and ends up with wet clothes. I don't think we have made it through a day without clothes being spit up on.

She finally grew out of her newborn clothes, and quickly moved into 3-6 month clothes.

Will loves to hold Blake, but is quick to be done. And when he is done, he will just shove her off or try to hand her over.

She seems to be getting close to rolling over, though right now it's only about half way.

Here are a few more of my favorite pictures:

Sorry for the picture overload, but isn't she stunning?
