During these early, early months it seems like babies change so much, yet aren't doing many new things. Austin is at the perfect age. She is still little, but her personality is starting to come out more and more.
And her smiles light up her entire face. And more often than not, her smiles involve her tongue sticking out. It's pretty adorable.
After two months, we are finally getting into more of a routine and schedule. She is sleeping better at nights and she is more alert during the day.
She still takes several naps during the day, ranging anywhere from 30 minutes up to several hours. Generally she has a shorter nap in the morning, a long nap in the afternoon, and another short nap in the evening.
Often times if she is upset and crying, the only way I can get her to take a binky is to grab both of her arms and pin them to her body, then hold her tight to me.
Sometimes she just looks so chunky, and I love her little cheeks.
So far she has done really well at church. She sleeps most, if not all of the meeting. Occasionally I will have to take a break to feed her, but sometimes she will be fine the entire time.
Austin definitely likes to be held. There are many times where she is perfectly fine to just lay on the couch. And other times she cries the moment you put her down. She can be screaming at the top of her lungs, for minutes, but it stops immediately when she is picked up.
She is still breastfeeding and I think we finally have the hang of it. Luckily she'll still take a bottle if necessary.
Austin has beautiful blue eyes that are really bright at times. I love looking at them and hope they stay this way.
She has officially grown out of newborn diapers and most of her newborn clothes are too small. Even some of the 0-3 month clothes are starting to get too small.
