Lance and I had an experience today that made me really realize how blessed we truly are. We were driving up 1400 N. in Logan, heading to the parent's to play some ping pong. We were in the right lane, at the light next to Lee's. Lance has this crazy need, or obsession, to always be in the lane with the least amount of cars. (He later said he had switched lanes because the right lane ends at the next light and we needed to go straight.) So last minute, Lance quickly switches lanes. No exaggeration, we were sitting at the red light for no more than 10-15 seconds when we heard a loud crash noise. A mini van had plowed into the back of the car that was next to us. I'm not exactly sure what happened, or if the driver was just not paying attention. There didn't appear to be too serious of damage, but we did notice the two people in the front car holding their necks. Probably some serious whiplash. All I know is, if Lance wouldn't have changed lanes when he did, it would have been us that got hit. Someone was definitely watching out for us, and especially for our little baby. Our lives really are SO blessed, and I know I really need to start noticing and appreciating those little blessings more.
Never again will I criticize Lance for constantly making unnecessary lane changes....at least not until tomorrow :)
